Detailed design of 5.2 km long monorail structures on the Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai, UAE. The structures consist of typical span 5x29 m structure, long span bridges 40-60 m and a switch platform bridge. The typical span structures are built by monolithic connection between precast guideway beam and cast-in-situ piers in order to avoid using of bearings. Long span bridges are built by composite sandwich girders.
